Disturbing News

This morning I woke up to a text message on my phone that was sent at 2am. I thought now why would my sister in law be texting me at this time... Is something wrong with my father in law? Nope.... It was a message stating that our little cousin Eddie was in an accident. I called Aunty Rosa and she told me it was a hit and run and that Eddie had broken both of his legs and cracked his skull. I had a mix of emotions shocked, sad, worried and then PISSED OFF! How could someone do something like this? He is a very good boy with everything going for him. He does well in school, has his own band, great group of friends, and a very supportive family. I don't think he knows how proud we are of him.... Anyways I recently called the hospital to find out how he is doing. Not quite sure of whom I talked with but she was very sweet and was appointed by Aunty Solo to be the "spokesperson" at this time. She let me know that he has plates in both of his legs and they finally got the bleeding to stop in the brain. He is still unconscious but they are not sure if that is because of the sedation or the trauma. They are trying to get him off of oxygen as well.... So I am broken.... trying to figure out why things are the way they are, and why they happen the way they do.
